This May, Australians are invited to raise a glass and join the country’s biggest celebration of Australian wine – Aussie Wine Month.
Now in its third year, Aussie Wine Month (AWM) is a month-long celebration of Australian wine and a chance for you to indulge your tastebuds, unlock the foodie within and enjoy the many top drops from our own backyard through a magical mix of food, wine, music and epicurean adventures in Australia’s top restaurants and wine regions.
From 1 to 31 May, wine and food lovers can awaken their palates through more than 100 wine-related events around Australia including sophisticated city cellar doors, spirited regional food and wine festivals, sumptuous food and wine dinners, behind-the-scenes winemaking tours, blend-your-own wines classes, talks with winemakers, cycling tours of wine regions, wine-themed high teas, concerts in vineyards and themed masterclasses.
From Sydney to Subiaco via Strathalbyn and Strathbogie Ranges, there are wine-inspired events to suit every taste being held across the country. Whether it be meeting the characters behind our great wines, visiting cellar doors nestled among the vines, taking part in a wine and food matching course, or indulging in a long lunch, Aussies are invited to embrace provenance and unlock the locavore within.
